Message	They sound cool, and promote the concept "hey, watch out because my car is fast". Sounding cool is why many people invest in: exhausts, intakes, stereos, supercharger pulleys, cams, etc. Sounding cool is an upgrade, even if it comes with other benefits/consequences. A BOV may not create any significant performance gains (perhaps even on the contrary), but running a little rich with the throttle closed doesn't seem to pose much of a threat imo.
